Story Redo
Yin and Kami have been walking and trying to make their way through a forest and to an inn for hours. Yin follows as Kami tries to figure out their location on a map. Yin looks at Kami from behind knowing that she was lost and could not read the map. They suddenly stop and notice that they have reached a fork in the road. Yin glances over at Kami, and Kami is still concentrated on the map, turning it in every direction hoping that it will make sense looking at it in another angle. Yin becomes annoyed, takes the map from Kami's hand, and throws in on the ground. She starts walking confidently towards the path on the left and Kami follows behind her, disappointed in herself. As they leave, a bird pecks on the piece of wood that he is standing on and makes the moss on it fall off to reveal a sign. The sign's right arrow points towards the inn, while the one on the left points towards the "Valley of the Fallen". Yin and Kami make their way through this path for a few minutes and Kami starts to notice the forest getting darker and gloomier as they advance. Kami looks around and starts falling behind. She hears a sound behind her and runs to catch up to Yin. Kami runs into Yin, who has stopped walking and has taken a fighting stance, ready to take out her katana. The branches on the ground surrounding start moving to reveal rusty old swords and rapiers in the earth. Kami and Yin notice that the branches are starting to form limbs, and become ghostly figures of samurai and warriors. Yin starts to unsheathe her katana and Kami hides behind her as more ghostly figures gather up around them, blocking the path behind them and preventing their escape. The ghosts start fighting Yin, and Yin fights back doing her best to protect Kami. Kami stays close behind her. Yin starts to walk back, hoping to find a chance to retreat, but instead she trips. The ghosts start to close in on Yin, when the ghost's attention is drawn by rocks that Kami is throwing from behind. Although the rocks don't do much, they manage to distract the ghosts and give Yin an opportunity to run. Yin and Kami start running in the opposite direction away from the path they were on and farther into the woods. Yin notices that Kami starts falling behind and picks her up. More ghosts start appearing and Yin does her best to fend them off. She finally sees a light in the distance and runs faster towards it. As the ghosts get nearer and nearer, Yin runs faster and finally jumps towards the light. She falls out of the darkness of the forest and the ghosts desintegrate behind her. Both Kami and Yin sigh in relief and Kami stands up in excitement after seeing the inn at a distance. Yin smiles and stands up. She returns her weapon to its sheathe and walks behind Kami, who is now running towards the inn.

Backstory
Yin
Yin grew up in a small plantation village and was orphaned as a young kid. In her attempt to make it in the streets, she stumbles across a samurai. After Yin tries to outsmart the skilled samurai and take some food from him, he is impressed by the girl's incredible wit, speed and skill. He decided to take her under his wing, sure that one day her abilities would be of use to him. As she grew, she was able to
learn and master the art of swordsmanship alongside her master. Most of her time would be spent doing arduous and harsh training. Although the mysterious samurai never allowed her to develop any sentimental attachment, her respect
towards him grew over the years.
To her disappointment, she later finds out that her master is
a dangerous criminal who seeks to gain control of the country. However, she
knows her skill alone will not be enough to defeat her wise and powerful
master. For this reason, she sets on a journey to find a legendary magical
katana that will grant the user the power of the heroes that have held it in
the past.
Kami
Kami is the only daughter of the richest family in town. She
is an overconfident, energetic girl that enjoys passing the time reading tales
of adventures from her parents’ library. These tales inspired in her a passion
for adventure, and so she ran away from home to seek adventures outside of her
palace. New to the outside world, Kami's naivete and inexperience never fails to get her into all sorts of trouble. She constantly tries to escape from people seeking to claim the fortune that Kami's parents are offering for her return. One day, as she is running away from a man trying to capture her, she meets Yin, who protects her with her great skill and swordsmanship. Kami, fascinated by Yin's talent, refuses to leave Yin's side hoping that Yin will provide the adventure that Kami has been looking for all along. Yin refuses to let her stay, but when Kami mentions reading about the magical katana in one of her parent's books, Yin has no option but to let Kami guide her. Although Yin is not happy about the idea of sharing the road with Kami at first, they learn that Yin's skill and Kami's creativity and motivation complement each other in ways they never expected they would. Yin sees Kami as annoying, but she learns to accept and care for Kami like her master never cared for her.
